Cooking with Ground Red Meat

Ground beef or pork has a higher fat content than chicken. Use the steamer insert in the 4qt. saucepan to remove the oil as it cooks and then use it in your recipe. Frozen ground meat should cook in about 15 minutes.

Unit: 4 Qt. with Steamer Insert

Instructions

Add 2” water into the 4qt and turn on medium-high heat. Place Steamer insert within the 4qt.

Rotate the valve on the lid to the open position. Place the meat into the steamer and cook on medium-high heat until done. If the whistle activates continually, crack the lid open partially.

Season the meat after it has finished cooking. The steam will help dissolve the seasoning.
